Work 4 Peace,Hold All Life Sacred,Eliminate Violence! I am on my mobile version of the door-to-door, going town-to-town holding readings/gatherings/discussions of my book "But What Can I Do?" This is my often neglected blog mostly about my travels since 9/11 as I engage in dialogue and actions. It is steaming with my opinions, insights, analyses toward that end of holding all life sacred, dismantling the empire and eliminating violence while creating the society we want ALL to thrive in

Countering the violence

Now that I've returned to the wonderful Bay and can breathe a little, I have the space and am able to examine my polls taken over the past few months and several trips cross-country. I do the count and realize that in almost every state, the positives outnumber the negatives at the minimum rate of 2 to 1; and in some states 20 to 1! We also know that most u.s. citizens voted for Gore, over 500,000 more. Yet it seems to be the perception that the majority of people support bush and this war.
So now I’m realizing that it is because the bush supporters react with such violence and vehemence, it makes them more notable – and folks who disagree think twice about standing up and saying so. I notice even in my journals, I tend to write a lot about those negatives, because they are so shocking and scary. I’m going to try harder to pay attention and remember to include all the positives as well!
