Work 4 Peace,Hold All Life Sacred,Eliminate Violence! I am on my mobile version of the door-to-door, going town-to-town holding readings/gatherings/discussions of my book "But What Can I Do?" This is my often neglected blog mostly about my travels since 9/11 as I engage in dialogue and actions. It is steaming with my opinions, insights, analyses toward that end of holding all life sacred, dismantling the empire and eliminating violence while creating the society we want ALL to thrive in

Any Body But Bush

Last nite we made it to the first rest stop upon entering Arizona- yeah - almost home! We spent the day today in Tucson, which was awesome! Driving into Tucson, our poll was 8 to 1 in favor of us, against bush. Not to dis the cnn polls, we're on top of the opinions of everyday, common u.s.ofa. random citizens who happen to be driving along the same time we are. Now who has the more accurate polls, I ask you?
Tucson folks were thrilled to see us - almost everyone had heard of codePINK - there's a new codePINK forming in Tucson also, altho the 2 wimmin we had as contacts were both out of town today - bummer. We talked with many people from all walks of life - all unanimously agreed george bush has GOT to go and we're going do it! Driving thru Tucson, many people yelled their support from the streets, many honked while passing, and many just smiled broadly and waved.
We pulled into a coffee shop on our way outta town to find a live band playing. The womon who had the mike made everyone look out the window at the truck, saying how much she loved it! The band then played a song dedicated to us "Any Body But Bush" as all the patrons sang loudly and joyfully along! That was a very special send-off to California!
Again we drove until we found a rest stop to sleep as close as we could make it to Yuma, Arizona, the last city in Arizona on the California border!
