Boxer's Phoney "Empowerment for Afghan Women"

Who does Barbara Boxer think she's fooling?

First she votes to extend and escalate the war and occupation against Afghanistan, she votes to spend over $100 MILLION dollars EVERY DAY bringing death and destruction to that country - which as always has a disproportionate impact on women and children - and then she wants to ease her conscience by designating a measly $50 Million dollars, less than 1/2 a day's worth of devastation money to that country, for the what??? The "empowerment" of women?

This is Repubs double speak: kill them, rape them, starve their children, deprive them of basic necessities, and then throw pennies their way to empower them? Puuuleeeze!

As a woman, Boxer should be well aware that women are quite capable of empowering ourselves.

The ONLY thing Afghan women need is for the U.S. to WITHDRAW all foreign troops; to CEASE arming and funding the Taliban, the Northern Alliance and all fascists militia; and to pay reparations for 30 years of hell we've rained upon the women, children, and men of Afghanistan.

Then women will empower themselves.

How dare she think we are so stupid.
