Work 4 Peace,Hold All Life Sacred,Eliminate Violence! I am on my mobile version of the door-to-door, going town-to-town holding readings/gatherings/discussions of my book "But What Can I Do?" This is my often neglected blog mostly about my travels since 9/11 as I engage in dialogue and actions. It is steaming with my opinions, insights, analyses toward that end of holding all life sacred, dismantling the empire and eliminating violence while creating the society we want ALL to thrive in

A Powerful 2006 New Year: the year we end war

A POWERFUL 2006 New Year: the year we end war!

What are you willing to do this year to end war? CodePINK Bay Area is sounding the call for Women say: ENOUGH! BASTA! 2006: We end war

Will you work with us to form the largest coalition of women’s organizations, groups, and individuals committed to ending war this year NO MATTER WHAT!

Can you visualize 10’s of 1000’s of women surrounding Congress & refusing to leave – for a week, for 2 weeks, for a month - until Congress has voted no more war? Bringing brooms with us as we clean House and then move on to impeach Bush as we sweep corruption & warmongers from the White House?

Are you willing to be one of those 10,000 women?

In the next few weeks, we are forming a hardcore group of 100 amazon activist women committed to going to Washington D.C. on May 14th, Mother’s Day, and staying for a whole month, until June 14th.

For 3 years now, CodePINK has reclaimed Mother’s Day as we embrace the original Proclamation written by Julia Ward Howe in 1870.

She urges us to rise then, women arise! She says as men desert the plow and the anvil at the summons of war, so women need to leave what can be left at home and gather together to figure out how we are going to live in peace.

If you are interested in being part of this herstoric core group, please email your name, email, and phone number to mzsam@bayareacodepink.org or call 510-524-2776 or 415-575-5555.

In pink peace, power, protest, participation,

Rae & Suzanne
