Women say ENOUGH! BASTA!
2006: We end war
It is time.
We should end the war (that never should have begun) today.
But we will work hard & gather support & numbers as we summons women and our allies to prepare to go to D.C. to end war on Mother’s Day May 14th.
We are fully cognizant of the deaths, murders, tortures that are happening even as we prepare to end all the violence.
This knowledge of violence being daily perpetuated in our name pushes us forward, makes it impossible to choose any other path, than the one for peace.
We have chosen three significant 2006 dates, if the war is not yet over: January 16th, Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday; March 8th, International Women’s Day, and May 14th, Mother’s Day.
1/16 we call on concerned citizens to go to their governor’s mansions, homes, or offices and seek the governors’ assistance in the return of their state’s national guard.
3/8 we will gather all over the world at U.S. embassies to demand the end to war in Iraq.
5/14 we summons all women and our supporters to Washington, D.C. to surround congress and to stay there until congress votes to end this war.
Women can and will end war. We need your participation. Without you, we are truly lost. Call today: 510-524-2776 or 415-575-5555.
