Work 4 Peace,Hold All Life Sacred,Eliminate Violence! I am on my mobile version of the door-to-door, going town-to-town holding readings/gatherings/discussions of my book "But What Can I Do?" This is my often neglected blog mostly about my travels since 9/11 as I engage in dialogue and actions. It is steaming with my opinions, insights, analyses toward that end of holding all life sacred, dismantling the empire and eliminating violence while creating the society we want ALL to thrive in

Crossing the Mississippi

We've made it to Mississippi! Another one of my favorite rest stops, on the east banks of the mighty Mississippi, which looks very low to me, several feet of barren brown sandy shores on either side of the river.

I go inside the visitors center to inquire about the internet. I am getting a "do not trust" this connection message! She asks me where I am from and so I tell her instead where I am going to.

When she realizes I'm heading to D.C. to protest 10 years of war, she warms up even more and tells me she has seen it all over the news! YEAH!!!

Bannering over the Mississippi!

Kevyn is talking with an older white womon who was struggling to walk on her way to finding the bathroom. She tells Kevyn she has not heard anything about the protests but asks for the web site. She wants to sign a petition! We invite her to come to D.C. with us and she drawls her regrets, but maybe she'll come later!
