The media has done such a good job doing to Hillary what
'rump has done to himself all by himself, many peeps I meet along the road are not voting
for either!
I may not be voting for Hillary but certainly not for the
same reasons the peeps along the way are not voting for Hillary. I'm talking
about the peeps who have what seems to be equal vehement disdain for Hillary &
'rump.
I tell them I certainly understand why they would hold
'rump in disgust, but how can they feel Hillary warrants such hatred?
Often these people cannot put into words why they hate
Hillary so much. Mostly, actually totally, they are republicans who cannot
bring themselves to vote for 'rump. THANK the GODDESSES!!!
The most common 'reason' I find is the Bill argument - as
if he's the candidate. After pretending I don't know which party candidate he
is, I respond by asking them if they 'approve' of all of 'rump's wives and
mistresses and innocently ask if they are voting for him because of his sexual 'partners' or because I can't bring myself to say only partners so I surreptitiously
add, 'conquests' and victims?
Another occasional 'reason' is simply put: Benghazi. When
I dig deeper I hear Hillary is responsible for the deaths of 4 u.s.ofa.
citizens - as unforgivable as if she planned the attack and pulled the trigger.
More often I hear vague accusations about even vaguer
emails. Okay. I'm sick of the email shit and say so.
But mostly I hear vehement name calling: she's a liar,
she's a cheater, she's devious, she's a criminal, she can't be trusted, and
even she's a rich "b..."! When I ask them to substantiate each of these names with behaviors, they're bluster is silenced as they dig unsuccessfully into their memories.
I've also heard complaints about how she can't control
her husband so how can she be expected to control the government.
As if.
It is so disturbing to witness such easily spouted
vitriol and hate against a womon that I know is rooted in and springs from misogyny. For this reason alone I'm
driven to revisit the reasons I question Hillary's platform, ferreting (as if
it's the least bit hidden) out the misogyny, trying to insure I see her
clearly, driven to revisit my decision around my vote for Hillary.
