Journey For Justice Dec 17th, Day 17 Tijuana River Valley Campground

There are several paths leading out of the campground. This one has a cluster of miniature crosses on the edge of the road & I wonder: did refugee children die here? Or others? Or maybe christians just want to leave a symbolic presence here on the border?

Then there are other paths that have these "unauthorized entrance forbidden" or "area closed" - to protect natural environment & for "public safety", but not the public safety of immigrants.

I want to take a couple of those paths but I respect the natural habitat so that might be a valid reason.

But I also envision the army national guard with their ak17's or whatever rifle strapped across their chests; or border patrol with all their weapons at the ready.
