Work 4 Peace,Hold All Life Sacred,Eliminate Violence! I am on my mobile version of the door-to-door, going town-to-town holding readings/gatherings/discussions of my book "But What Can I Do?" This is my often neglected blog mostly about my travels since 9/11 as I engage in dialogue and actions. It is steaming with my opinions, insights, analyses toward that end of holding all life sacred, dismantling the empire and eliminating violence while creating the society we want ALL to thrive in

Bannering Sequel

Ever been to Times Square, New Year’s Eve, the silver ball dropping with the accompanying revelry? This has nothing on the commuter reception of our bannering blitz this morning! Folks took one look at our signs: Women say ENOUGH! BASTA! 2006: We END war – and they were hooting and tooting and howling it up all the way down the freeway!

People were waving in their cars, hanging out their windows and thru their sun roof tops. A motorcycle cop rolled by & said “end the war” over the loud speaker! Tractor Trailer 18 wheeler truck drivers beeped the whole time they were in our vision. It seemed like at least half of the cars passing blew their horns and the other half gave us the peace sign. An ambulance drove by sounding it’s alarm! Cars & trucks flashed their lights as well.

The Channel 5 news van was also there this morning, parked in back of us, waiting for us to set up. They backed down the freeway to get in front of us and then slowly drove by, filming we hope! They will especially come back & film when we get more and more folks out to banner!

None of us could possibly be depressed or discouraged with a start to the New Year like this!

In fact, we were so inspired this morning by this enthusiastic response that rivals Time Square Jan 1st at midnite that we are going to attempt to banner 7:30a.m. EVERY week/work day for at least the first 2 weeks in January.

A POWERFUL New Year:2006: We END war! Peace, Sam
