Work 4 Peace,Hold All Life Sacred,Eliminate Violence! I am on my mobile version of the door-to-door, going town-to-town holding readings/gatherings/discussions of my book "But What Can I Do?" This is my often neglected blog mostly about my travels since 9/11 as I engage in dialogue and actions. It is steaming with my opinions, insights, analyses toward that end of holding all life sacred, dismantling the empire and eliminating violence while creating the society we want ALL to thrive in

Huntsville Alabama - to be continued

I know I've left Atlanta and I'm in the deep south: God and Jesus signs abound! And the marine recruiting posters are springing up.

The road to Huntsville is in the hills: much asphalt and concrete development, box stores, chain stores, and lots of grass mark the way with glimpses of patches of forest and hill between the walls and billboards.

It is freezing cold by the time I arrive in Huntsville. 8 or so white and mostly female folks are gathered under a roofed gazebo sporting 99% signs!

We have an amazing, inspiring almost 2 hour workshop, beginning with the issue of the constitutional permit or asking for a permit from the police and city, and ending with a commitment to be more aware of and to act against racism! And everything in between.

What a joy to meet informed, conscious, open white occupiers who sincerely want to help create a better community and country - and meet them here in the middle of Alabama!
