Work 4 Peace,Hold All Life Sacred,Eliminate Violence! I am on my mobile version of the door-to-door, going town-to-town holding readings/gatherings/discussions of my book "But What Can I Do?" This is my often neglected blog mostly about my travels since 9/11 as I engage in dialogue and actions. It is steaming with my opinions, insights, analyses toward that end of holding all life sacred, dismantling the empire and eliminating violence while creating the society we want ALL to thrive in

Try hydrogen peroxide...

Every morning I get up as the moon sets and the sun rises. I stretch, then jog a little more then 1 1/2 miles very slowly around this camp ground loop, out to the road and around the tent camping loop that ends at the lake.

It is freezing when I start out but by the time I get to the lake, I'm warmed up. Wisps of fog ascend from the lake like the sweet breath of a thousand infants & I wonder what the early people who lived here must have thought when taking in such beauty.

Today I clean the bathrooms with Roy's brother. He claims the womyn's are dirtier then the men's but he won't trade with me when I suggest I'll take charge of all the womyn's rooms, he can do the mens. In truth, none of them are dirty, as we've had less then 3 campers this cold & windy week - but we have to clean anyway.

Today is the day he uses clorox on the walls & floors, grinning as he talks about the mold and insects being killed, bragging that the clorox smell will last for days.

I say it sure will, and then it will invade the soil and water and air. I tell him we are in much more danger of being harmed by clorox then the germs he imagines he's killing.

Of course, he's just a camp host brother. I will wait until the ranger returns next week to speak with him about the Alabama USDA Forest Service going green!
