Work 4 Peace,Hold All Life Sacred,Eliminate Violence! I am on my mobile version of the door-to-door, going town-to-town holding readings/gatherings/discussions of my book "But What Can I Do?" This is my often neglected blog mostly about my travels since 9/11 as I engage in dialogue and actions. It is steaming with my opinions, insights, analyses toward that end of holding all life sacred, dismantling the empire and eliminating violence while creating the society we want ALL to thrive in

Our courageous shera Valerie Solanas

I was disappointed tonite at Modern Times Bookstore's discussion with Roxanne Dunbar Ortiz, with the labeling of both Valerie Solanas and Schulamith Firestone.

For brilliant feminist womyn to accept the labels that the patriarchal/misogynist/racist institutions and individuals have developed to label and categorize - and most of all control - people? Crazy? Bi-Polar?

Are you sure we who passively (or at least merely integrate our protest within the fabric of our lives) "accept" the state of our lives, communities, country while we continue to be part of and work within that horrific system that has been oppressing and destroying us for TWELVE THOUSAND years - perhaps it is us who are "crazy" and Valerie who was "sane".

And bi-polar – doesn’t that mean the refusal/inability to “accept” quietly or at least exhibit behavior within “normal” parameters construed and defined by those above institutions, the horrific violent abuse that has been perpetrated upon one’s body, mind, soul???

If “uni-polar” is the opposite of “bi-polar” maybe it is us that are unipolar who need liberating…
