Work 4 Peace,Hold All Life Sacred,Eliminate Violence! I am on my mobile version of the door-to-door, going town-to-town holding readings/gatherings/discussions of my book "But What Can I Do?" This is my often neglected blog mostly about my travels since 9/11 as I engage in dialogue and actions. It is steaming with my opinions, insights, analyses toward that end of holding all life sacred, dismantling the empire and eliminating violence while creating the society we want ALL to thrive in

Eagle Pass Texas/Piedras Negras Mexico

So I've arrived in Eagle Pass, Texas across the Rio Grande from Piedras Negras.

This is a street corner in the section of town closest to the bridge & river. Most of the names of the streets are u.s. presidents. Farther away from the bridge moving deeper into Texas but still Eagle Pass, the names seem to be places & heroes of Mexico.

We've spent billions if not trillions on high technology, lots of which does not even work

More high tech

View across the bridge coming from Texas looking and walking into Mexico

Some of the horrific military presence on the Texas side of the river: the Texas State Military, Texas National Guard, Texas State Troopers, plus many other states' national guards...grrrrr

This is what lines the u.s.ofa. side of the river bank where people seeking asylum previously could cross. Notice the rows of concertina razors and then the shipping containers just in case a person could figure out how to cross layers of barbed wire to get sliced apart on top of these containers

Looking from the u.s.ofa. side, across the river at the high tech on the Mexico side - provided by the u.s. of course

Standing on the bank of the river on the Mexico side, looking over at the u.s. side - the public park the military confiscated from the people of Eagle Pass, on orders of Governor Abigott.
