United for Peace and Justice

I went to the United for Peace and Justice office for the first time today - it was fabulous! It's on the 9th floor about four blocks from Madison Square Garden and what excitement and bustle - so many folks coming and going, all working towards making this week an historic event of democracy in action!

There's a bank of phones, a huge room with clusters of folks congregating and meeting, planning actions and logistics, and a group of small offices off to the back. Tons of flyers and posters and stickers and peace flags and other materials - not to mention waves of volunteers!

I rolled up my sleeves and jumped right in!
