Work 4 Peace,Hold All Life Sacred,Eliminate Violence! I am on my mobile version of the door-to-door, going town-to-town holding readings/gatherings/discussions of my book "But What Can I Do?" This is my often neglected blog mostly about my travels since 9/11 as I engage in dialogue and actions. It is steaming with my opinions, insights, analyses toward that end of holding all life sacred, dismantling the empire and eliminating violence while creating the society we want ALL to thrive in

Peace-In Arlington - to be continued

Harriet is waiting in her pick-up truck when I pull into the parking lot of the Congressman’s Office. It is frigid cold, ice and snow in too much evidence for me but probably hardly noticeable for these Texans.

We stand on the roadside, holding the “women say no to war” banner as we shiver, stamp our feet, watch our breath unfurl and wave at mostly positive folks passing by. Actually Harriet is amazed by the number of positives that pass us.

Just before 9:00, another CodePINKer joins us as we stand for peace just below the freeway on the frontage road. By 9:00, we are more than ready to enter the warm, toasty building and find the Congressman’s Office.

His chief of staff has agreed to meet with us. We are agreed to focus on the Mandate for Peace and the defunding of the war.

We are cordially greeted by Ron White and invited into his office to sit around the large conference table.

Several beautiful, strong, amazing women strolled into the office minutes after the three of us sat down and had begun to talk.
