Journey For Justice Dec 6th, Day 6 Del Rio
Look to the left of the road & see the barbed wire wall.
It is double rowed & sharper than the sharpest knife - doubled in case someone happens to near impossible make it over one edge, they are guaranteed to then get sliced on the next. Plus you cannot toss your backpack or bag of food over two of these cruel rows.
As we drive down this road encased on one side by the Rio Grande and by barbed wire fencing on the other, an older white man comes out of his home, spreads his legs, flaunting gun at his hip as one hand rests above it ready to shoot, the other holds a cell phone apparently filming our caravan.
By the time we've advanced about 6 miles, stopped, turned around, we pass two truckloads of white male armed vigilanties approaching, holding their guns and coldly staring at us - not to mention border patrol tracking our every move.
But are these vigilanties the ones that chase down and eliminate human beings or are they the ones that are buying the drugs and bodies of refugees before border patrol can pick them up and incarcerate them?
