Work 4 Peace,Hold All Life Sacred,Eliminate Violence! I am on my mobile version of the door-to-door, going town-to-town holding readings/gatherings/discussions of my book "But What Can I Do?" This is my often neglected blog mostly about my travels since 9/11 as I engage in dialogue and actions. It is steaming with my opinions, insights, analyses toward that end of holding all life sacred, dismantling the empire and eliminating violence while creating the society we want ALL to thrive in

Anti-abortion, Anti-war, Anti-bush

On our way to Justice, we drove into a small town that had large, old brick buildings looming on either side of the narrow two laned road, the pavement often reaching a foot or two from the front doors.
Most of the buildings were deserted storefronts, and except for a few folks lounging on the streets and an old truck parked here or there, the town looked deserted and desolate. But we spotted a county clerk's office!!! So we found a park in a small hilly lot squeezed between an old bridge and a brick building.
As we parked, the folks who were around, stared, not hiding their astonishment. We tried to address one middle-aged white womon, but she gathered her pocketbook tighter against her chest and scurried back into her vehicle.
Rae went into the clerk's office to pick up West Virginia voter registration forms. I was wearing my bright ‘pink slip bush’ t-shirt so I thought I would wait outside in case they had a partisan problem!
Another white womon in her 60's was also standing on the side walk a few storefronts down. She approached me as soon as I got out of the truck and declared how totally against bush she is, calling him a 'mean, little man'. She was also a christian and agreed to be videoed so as soon as Rae reappeared with the forms, we began videoing!
Again, I'll let the video speak for her but suffice it to say she was an extreme anti-abortionist but just as extreme proponent for ending the war while dumping bush.
