Work 4 Peace,Hold All Life Sacred,Eliminate Violence! I am on my mobile version of the door-to-door, going town-to-town holding readings/gatherings/discussions of my book "But What Can I Do?" This is my often neglected blog mostly about my travels since 9/11 as I engage in dialogue and actions. It is steaming with my opinions, insights, analyses toward that end of holding all life sacred, dismantling the empire and eliminating violence while creating the society we want ALL to thrive in

Black Lives Matter but how about Black Womyn’s Lives?

How about the life of a Black womon who defends herself from a violent, abusive man?

How about the life of a Black womon who fires a warning shot into the ceiling to ward off a violent abusive man?

How about the life of a Black womon who has been previously hospitalized from the violence inflicted upon her by this violent man?

How about the life of a Black womon who gave birth to a daughter 9 days prior to her acting to defend herself with a shot to the ceiling?

What are we as warrior womyn going to do about this travesty of ‘justice’, this gross injustice that Marissa is being subjected to?

Now Marissa is back in jail for 65 more days and then she faces 2 years of house arrest.

Do you know that Marissa has to PAY the state and a – most likely private – probation corporation thousands of dollars a month to ‘serve’ out her 2 years house arrest sentence? It is so unconscionable, so very iniquitous, so just totally wrong.

Furthermore, Marissa Alexander’s story tragically is not unique, but replicated many times around our country – it is the m.o. of the prison industrial complex which includes male violence, police (not to be redundant), the courts (including angela fuckin corey), and prison.
