You REALLY care about the window shattered at crate & barrel last night when 90 per cent of our ocean life is dead or dying?

You REALLY care about the smashed windshield of a TV news van when by the year 2020 half of our children will be diagnosed with autism?

You REALLY care about the poetic hiss of flying bricks and bottles when our bombs have & are killing, maiming millions, destroying the next 7 generations (at least) of people in Iraq, Afghanistan, Somalia, Sudan, Yemen, Libya, Syria? Of the African, South American, Asian and North American continents?

You REALLY care about angry Black people hurling hurt and rage when white police officers murder Black children, womyn, men every 23 hours in this country?

You REALLY care about ‘nice’ and ‘nonviolent’ when glyphosate from round-up is binding together the minerals in the soil which allow life to flourish, rendering our soil lifeless?

You REALLY care about garbage cans overturned and cars burning when the Arctic Ice Caps will be melted in two years?

You REALLY think there is an ‘appropriate’ way to respond to 400 years of oppression, genocide, injustice, cruelty?

You REALLY resent your shopping spree interrupted for an hour or so while jails disrupt the lives of 2 out of 3 Black & brown peoples?

You REALLY think it’s okay to quietly continue ‘life as usual’ while 33 humans died of starvation during the 75 seconds – that’s one human every 2.3 seconds – it’s taken you to read this?

You REALLY think we should continue throwing away enough food every day that would feed ALL the world’s hungry?

You REALLY think walmart owners should continue making 1.5 million dollars an hour while they pay employees 8 dollars and 81 cents an hour, let alone the 'workers' (i.e. enslaved people) who manufacture cheap goods less than 2 cents an hour?

REALLY Grandmother? as my 6 year old grandchild would say.
