I’m up before
the sun, which is late these winter days, so that by the time it’s light – 7am –
I’m ready to prime the pump and continue filling my tanks. I’ve left the charger
on my battery all day yesterday and last night so it’s up to 11.9 volts.
I figure out how
to prime the pump – which includes detaching the hose and spilling more oil
over the ground – but HALLELUIAH it works. I’m able to pump about 217 gallons
before switching to another tote and pumping an additional maybe 25 gallons.
So I’m filled up
and ready to return to Berkeley – but not until I visit an old friend and her 5
year old granddaughter!
