Work 4 Peace,Hold All Life Sacred,Eliminate Violence! I am on my mobile version of the door-to-door, going town-to-town holding readings/gatherings/discussions of my book "But What Can I Do?" This is my often neglected blog mostly about my travels since 9/11 as I engage in dialogue and actions. It is steaming with my opinions, insights, analyses toward that end of holding all life sacred, dismantling the empire and eliminating violence while creating the society we want ALL to thrive in

Brrrrrrr

I decide to take one of my favorite detours and  head north and then east through stunningly beautiful upstate south and western New York, which appears to be predominately populated with Indigenous peoples, and where last time I came through, I had soooooo many positives and heard lots of news coverage of an anti-war march. This time I saw lots of Dean bumper stickers, peace signs, and even impeach bush.
I’m running into snow again, and FREEZING cold. I find a beautiful rest stop – all of upstate New York is beautiful – in the midst of res land - and spend the rest of the nite. When I wake, ice has formed on the inside and outside of my windows. The water in my windshield wipers is just that – water – so I have to stop every few miles, hop out and scrap my windows – brrrrrr – not a pleasant task for a Californian who doesn’t do snow! It has stopped snowing but the road is sloshy and every time a truck passes, my windshield freezes dirt and ice!
