Work 4 Peace,Hold All Life Sacred,Eliminate Violence! I am on my mobile version of the door-to-door, going town-to-town holding readings/gatherings/discussions of my book "But What Can I Do?" This is my often neglected blog mostly about my travels since 9/11 as I engage in dialogue and actions. It is steaming with my opinions, insights, analyses toward that end of holding all life sacred, dismantling the empire and eliminating violence while creating the society we want ALL to thrive in

In a man's world.... STILL to be continued...

Jasi is thrilled, he gets to watch TV in the trucker's lounge upstairs. Yesterday, we were in the employees lounge as the truckers were watching TV not appropriate for children.

When Jasi made that announcement as we were heading out the door last nite, they told us to stay in the employees lounge.

Remarkably, they had on Colbert & we couldn't figure out how to change the channel, so Jasi & I played airplanes and read books.

This morning, someone puts on some nickelodeon or something like that - sponge bob appears and Jasi is perplexed, he's getting to watch sponge bob?

I change the channel to Animal Planet, which holds us for about an hour or two. We are learning the heterosexual interpretation of the behaviors of some kind of cats that live in South Africa.

I go downstairs to hear the new service manager tell me the tool they needed to borrow from the Isuzu dealer down the road wasn't available to them.

Plan B is to try to borrow it from someone else, as they didn't want to buy this tool just for my truck.

Okay, he's stressed, there's lots of customers besides me - and trucks.

I go back upstairs and see that Animal Planet has turned into some awful murder story. I quickly change the channel to, ugh, the Disney Channel.

Jasi is more than content to watch this & I'm off, talking with Eliz, who has been so wonderful, finding me a place to stay, looking for a mechanic, and trying to hook me up with a good friend of hers who will take me to the store to get food for Jasi.

Her friend comes to get us - I have to go to the credit union to deposit money to cover my insurance, and get Jasi food from an organic grocer.

We head back to the dealer to find out they've got the tool and are replacing the front seal!

Eliz has been soooo great, besides finding this fellow, who is great himself - he takes us out to lunch!

I get a call while we're eating from the dealer. We're almost finished so we head out.

They tell me the front seal has been replaced, they've taken it for a test drive, and now the back seal is leaking.

I'm staring at them in disbelief when they continue to tell me, that this shop cannot replace the back seal as they don't work on Isuzu's.

In fact, mine is the first Isuzu they've ever worked on.

My jaw has dropped to the ground. I can't believe this.

Then they tell me the Isuzu dealer is less than 2 miles away.

I call over there, explain my sob story, and they kindly arrange for a tow truck to come (the next morning) to pick up my truck & bring it to the proper people.

How could these assholes take in my truck if they don't work on effin Isuzu's? What part of "I have an Isuzu NPR box truck" didn't they get?
