Work 4 Peace,Hold All Life Sacred,Eliminate Violence! I am on my mobile version of the door-to-door, going town-to-town holding readings/gatherings/discussions of my book "But What Can I Do?" This is my often neglected blog mostly about my travels since 9/11 as I engage in dialogue and actions. It is steaming with my opinions, insights, analyses toward that end of holding all life sacred, dismantling the empire and eliminating violence while creating the society we want ALL to thrive in

Michigan Country Roads and Camping - to be continued...

I've decided to camp this evening in a loverly Michigan State Park! The NOW conference seems to be winding down - most womyn are voting on the new year's resolutions, not one mentions ending war NOW. The one concerning military women does not mention rape, sexual assualt & battery as the NUMBER 1 health and safety issue facing military women.

After the barrage against CodePINK, I feel unable to keep fighting in this arena. I am not a voting member. I have also had very discouraging conversations with several white women who are buying into the lie that we need to be in Iraq to protect the 'people'.

Before leaving Dearborn, I stop for groceries.

Boston CP and Hold our Ground

To the awesome womyn of Boston CodePINK:

First, I want to thank you so much for your warm welcome of me into your meeting July 8th and for allowing me to share your work! And thank you for letting me speak about the Womyn Hold Our Ground For Peace 9/11-9/21 Action!

I hope the Boston Chapter will decide to commit to participating in this action taking on our Congress during this terribly crucial time in September where once again, they will decide to either END funding for war or not.

But once again, it will also be WE the people, who will decide if we will have such a HUGE voice & presence in D.C. that not one representative, nor media, will be able to ignore us!

I look so forward to working hard with everyone who will decide to come to D.C. during this time in September to END WAR NOW!

I trust your Phone-In action was successful! We’ve certainly had several victories as well as set-backs to continue making calls about – especially this last executive order!

I also haven’t heard yet about the WILFP conference. I do hope Elisabeth was able to get the awesome womyn of WILPF on-board for the Hold Our Ground 9/11-21st action.

And I hope the three of you who went to the anti-war coalition meeting were able to give a strong voice of womyn at that conference.

Once again, I also hope you will seriously consider taking on “Hold our Ground for Peace 9/11- 9/21” as a mission for your chapter. For this action will not happen unless WE the grassroots concerned fierce womyn will make it happen: like ending war, no one else is going to make it happen for us!

Since I left Boston, I’ve connected with many more determined, fierce, committed Amazon cp’ers across the country and our allies. I’m posting a report back soon on the Hold our Ground list!

If you’d like to be part of the 50 womyn from your state and the Hold our Ground action, you can email me at mzsam @bayareacodepink (dot) org or call 510-524-2776 or subscribe to the list at http://lists.riseup.net/www/subrequest/holdingourground9.11

Together we WILL end war!

Peace, Zanne Sam Joi
