we're baaacccckkkk - slt - to be continued

we get to slt way after 9:00p.m. - finally we get to eat & catch the end of a peace activist meeting - we're off to scout out a good place to start the day tomorrow, election day, with a get out the vote WITS

nevada city bound - to be continued

several young women from local college join with several cp'ers and peace & justice folks to make a big protest this day before the election.

if half the folks that pass us show out tomorrow, we will WIN! 99.9% positive reaction.

police chief walks by, being friendly good ole boy. he gets to the last pair of shoes & jokingly asks how much these will cost him? fury steels my tongue as i retort "a murdered iraqi civilian". he is abashed, turns red, and shuffles away.

we make a circle to end the protest. rae is very inspiring, we are so pumped up - we do natalie's exercise - everyone take a step in: this is the circle of activists - the ones who are going to work to end war. everyone take one more step in: this is the circle of organizers - the ones who are going to lead us into ending war.

rae & i are heading out - denny's in placerville this time. denny's manager is furious, demanding we leave her property - my truck is parked in the lot. i do move it, police are called.
