Work 4 Peace,Hold All Life Sacred,Eliminate Violence! I am on my mobile version of the door-to-door, going town-to-town holding readings/gatherings/discussions of my book "But What Can I Do?" This is my often neglected blog mostly about my travels since 9/11 as I engage in dialogue and actions. It is steaming with my opinions, insights, analyses toward that end of holding all life sacred, dismantling the empire and eliminating violence while creating the society we want ALL to thrive in

Hauling ass thru tornado land

I decide not to add 50 more miles to my trip to Atlanta, instead I'm hauling ass through Oklahoma. It is very warmly pleasant out, the winds have ceased, and bright stars are twinkling against shiny obsidian night sky.

Still I'm not going to linger in Oklahoma - or Arkansas for that matter. I'll drive as far as I am able tonight, stop at a rest stop to sleep, and then continue driving tomorrow until it's too hot to proceed.

I hope to be in Atlanta by tomorrow nite, or the wee hours of Tuesday morning.

tornado warnings...

I'm such a Californian: when a young, straight bi-racial couple with a baby approaches me at the rest stop, they ask me about the weather.

What weather I'm thinking, it's been beautiful - hotter then I like, but I've been hanging out all day, writing, reading, talking with folks, catching up on blogging some.

Now I hear there are tornado warnings out through Oklahoma.

Lucky for me, I can head south & hope like hell I don't run into any.
