Work 4 Peace,Hold All Life Sacred,Eliminate Violence! I am on my mobile version of the door-to-door, going town-to-town holding readings/gatherings/discussions of my book "But What Can I Do?" This is my often neglected blog mostly about my travels since 9/11 as I engage in dialogue and actions. It is steaming with my opinions, insights, analyses toward that end of holding all life sacred, dismantling the empire and eliminating violence while creating the society we want ALL to thrive in

Brief Report Back Saturday Zoom Gathering 1/16/21

After checking in we spoke about the upcoming threat of white supremacist violence and our actions, responsibilities, strategies and techniques for confronting/challenging/eliminating.

Again addressing the biological family presenting heightened challenges. Those that compare BLM actions with the tRump white supremacist riot on Wednesday.

Some ideas:
 • One is a liberation movement against racist oppression; the other is a violent tantrum against losing an election.

 • One is met by massive police and military aggressive presence; the other includes military and police supporters

 • One sees Black and brown people as criminals and a threat; the other sees white people as entitled, non-violent or threatening and even benign

 • One is viewed and presented by the media as a 'non-peaceful', violent protest; the other is presented and viewed by the media as an insurrection and siege

 • One is attempting to hold our country to our alleged democratic ideals of equality, freedom and democracy; the other is trying to overturn election results through a violent takeover

Most womyn felt like it’s a ‘lost cause’ to confront these overt violent mostly male racists; others felt like it is part of white privilege to choose whether to speak up or not; yet others felt if we don’t put our voices out there, we can’t shape the framework nor are we thinking about the damage this thug can do against another human being; and finally whose responsibility is it to speak up.

Most of us are hoping that these thugs are going to creep back into their sewers.

We also talked about keeping racism and white male violence in front of especially those white people who have been able to ignore at best, or deny the existence of this white male violence, not allowing white people to slip back into white privileged complacency.

The culpability of the christian church in teaching, upholding, condoning racism and sexism – from the 1440’s papal doctrine of discovery to the present day evangelists – and cementing bigotry, domination, superiority into the entire fabric of this nation.

Finally reparations and restitution was brought up at the end and put on the screen for next week.
