Stories from the Station: Witness or Plan??? to be continued

Demands a straight, older, white male as I ask him to inform the folks he has earlier claimed would have come today had he called them.

"Well, is this a witness or a plan?" he repeats to my questioning what the hell he is talking about.

Stories from the Station: Tahan Jones Performance Art for Peace to be continued

Tahan Jones is a resister from the first Gulf War - and a student of art at the local art college.

He has come this morning to the recruiting station to develop a participatory art piece while he disrupts business as usual at the station.

Lund storms by us, not acting like he spent over an hour with us deeply engrossed in conversation just three days ago. He ignores our greetings.

On his return (apparently there is no bathroom in his office!), one of the older white men participating in the art piece mentions to Lund that there is an ex-Marine amongst us, gesturing to Tahan.

Lund snarls there is no such thing as an ex-Marine! We are all startled and amused. I ponder what he thinks about divorce or if he's every broken up with a girl-friend or questioned the church he was surely raised in.
