Work 4 Peace,Hold All Life Sacred,Eliminate Violence! I am on my mobile version of the door-to-door, going town-to-town holding readings/gatherings/discussions of my book "But What Can I Do?" This is my often neglected blog mostly about my travels since 9/11 as I engage in dialogue and actions. It is steaming with my opinions, insights, analyses toward that end of holding all life sacred, dismantling the empire and eliminating violence while creating the society we want ALL to thrive in

If everyone in the u.s. is busy working for money, WHO is going to work for change?

When asked to join a protest, u.s.a. folks almost always say "I have to work", believing this statement should explain everything.

Why do we think "I have to work" excuses us in any way from working to END WAR?

"I have to work" REALLY means I have to work for money to buy me lots of things AND to PAY FOR WAR - for everyone who has to work for money, instead of working for peace, is working to pay for war.

The good people of this nation - the ones who are against war but continue to pay for war - view their 'work' as that what they do for money, and not their 'work' as that what they do to make wars end.

We MUST spend at LEAST as much time working for change as we do working for money - or the planet, our mother earth, will not survive.

Right now, as you read this, people are being killed by our soldiers, our bombs, our weapons - both directly and indirectly through our massive arming of all the men in the world willing to take human life.

I cannot fathom how the good people of this nation can know this and still pay their taxes, still continue to work for money and not for change.
