Work 4 Peace,Hold All Life Sacred,Eliminate Violence! I am on my mobile version of the door-to-door, going town-to-town holding readings/gatherings/discussions of my book "But What Can I Do?" This is my often neglected blog mostly about my travels since 9/11 as I engage in dialogue and actions. It is steaming with my opinions, insights, analyses toward that end of holding all life sacred, dismantling the empire and eliminating violence while creating the society we want ALL to thrive in

The road to Santa Fe and the Feminist Hullaballoo

We are warmly embraced by the organizers and other wimmin already at the school for the deaf preparing for the hullaballoo to begin. Sharp anticipation and soaring excitement crackle in the heat around us as Marie and I set up a canopy and tables right outside the auditorium where all the action is happening this weekend. With our hot pink banners, Marie’s tie-dyed clothes and the rest of the CodePINK paraphernalia, we can’t be missed!

We are very grateful we have a canopy – even at 7:00 this evening, it is still very hot. Our plans to camp are nixed & we are forced to find a hotel close-by because the truck is overheating and I don’t want to risk driving more than we have to in this heat.

As wimmin arrive, I’m filled with the passions and thrills remembered of the old days, when wimmin frequently gathered together in community – something I miss terribly as the 90’s seem to have fragmented our community. I look forward to sharing this weekend with these wimmin as well as organizing for CodePINK and ending war.
