Work 4 Peace,Hold All Life Sacred,Eliminate Violence! I am on my mobile version of the door-to-door, going town-to-town holding readings/gatherings/discussions of my book "But What Can I Do?" This is my often neglected blog mostly about my travels since 9/11 as I engage in dialogue and actions. It is steaming with my opinions, insights, analyses toward that end of holding all life sacred, dismantling the empire and eliminating violence while creating the society we want ALL to thrive in

General Congress of Women: Reclaiming Mother's Day - to be continued

i arrived in davis (about 75 miles east of s.f. and 15 miles west of sacramento) thru a torrent of rain by 9:00a.m. to staff the codepink table at the davis green festival. most folks, discouraged by the rain, were in the process of breaking down their tables & displays.

i attached plastic and other codepink banners around the upper sides of our canapy to protect our tables sitting underneath the canapy and continued to set out codepink information and merchandise.

the rain stopped, grey skies prevailed, the rain began, clouds billowed up, light brightened and faded. the main stage started with the accoustic performers... natalie rolled in and helped staff the table. we both were anxious about the rain & our evening congress of women.

3:00 came & we broke our display down & headed to the capitol grounds in sacramento.
