Work 4 Peace,Hold All Life Sacred,Eliminate Violence! I am on my mobile version of the door-to-door, going town-to-town holding readings/gatherings/discussions of my book "But What Can I Do?" This is my often neglected blog mostly about my travels since 9/11 as I engage in dialogue and actions. It is steaming with my opinions, insights, analyses toward that end of holding all life sacred, dismantling the empire and eliminating violence while creating the society we want ALL to thrive in

Harlingen GOAT

My first reading in Harlingen Texas at "GOAT: Girl of All Trades Coffee Shop" and also the first time not one person has shown up for one of my readings. Of course, my truck is not here so I’ve not been able to park in conspicuous corners of town and hand out flyers and invitations to come to my reading.
I’m remembering another time in Ohio at a UU church where only one womon came as well as my steadfast chosen sistar but that was a last minute (as on-the-day-of) scheduled reading.
I’m trying not to be devastated and the kind young womon behind the counter tells me there’s lots of reasons – other than lack of interest in my book – why folks might not have shown up. She encourages me to try again, this time on a week night, with more publicity, etc.
Sounds like a plan! Maybe…
