Work 4 Peace,Hold All Life Sacred,Eliminate Violence! I am on my mobile version of the door-to-door, going town-to-town holding readings/gatherings/discussions of my book "But What Can I Do?" This is my often neglected blog mostly about my travels since 9/11 as I engage in dialogue and actions. It is steaming with my opinions, insights, analyses toward that end of holding all life sacred, dismantling the empire and eliminating violence while creating the society we want ALL to thrive in

back on the road again....

I flew into El Paso airport this a.m. and took the shuttle back to Las Cruces where a wonderful contact dyke picked me up at the shuttle stop and brought me to go pick up my truck.

The guys there greeted me more warmly than previously, as I turned over a big chunk of change to them. I had to go immediately to the gas station as my diesel tank was on emptier than empty. I got 10 gallons of expensive diesel - but I made it to the station - and then I couldn't start my truck. It was dead.

I called the mechanic and he said they would be right there. I had to explain to several white texans in large, loud pickup trucks waiting for diesel that I couldn't move but would be soon. I know they were annoyed but also keeping their distance.

When the guys showed up, they found a loose battery cable. Once tightened, I was able to proceed.

Yeah!!!! I've got my Radical Ride Baby back in my arms again and now running smoothly! And I'm off to visit one of my most favorite chosen sistahs and her amazing daughter in El Paso! Plus I'll get to indulge at Cafe Mayapan which is a MUST VISIT also whenever I'm in that neck of fuckin Texas.
