Work 4 Peace,Hold All Life Sacred,Eliminate Violence! I am on my mobile version of the door-to-door, going town-to-town holding readings/gatherings/discussions of my book "But What Can I Do?" This is my often neglected blog mostly about my travels since 9/11 as I engage in dialogue and actions. It is steaming with my opinions, insights, analyses toward that end of holding all life sacred, dismantling the empire and eliminating violence while creating the society we want ALL to thrive in

Death Valley

I haven't been to Death Valley in probably 15 or so years. Truthfully, I can't remember the last time I went. I used to try to go every Passover, when the desert is perfect to visit.
Once again, here I am filled with the amazing fierce glory of this place, the unbelievable land formations, the fact that the first people somehow found their way (without gps or even maps) from high in the mountains during the summer, through amazing & hostile terrain, walking hundreds of miles, to the tiny dot of a desert springs during the winter.
We run into snow on our way into Death Valley, crossing over 4 to 5000 foot passes, to enter the valley where sun prevails warming us up! Fortunately, we follow a snow plow into the incredible national park. I'm thrilled I get to purchase my "life-long" 62 year old National Park pass for $10 that allows me (and everyone with me) to enter free and camp for half price!

This is the incredible "Natural Bridge" that we hike to and through. There is so much to explore and experience here. I want to return as soon as possible.
I am traveling with 3 other great womyn - here we are (with one taking the pic!)
