Work 4 Peace,Hold All Life Sacred,Eliminate Violence! I am on my mobile version of the door-to-door, going town-to-town holding readings/gatherings/discussions of my book "But What Can I Do?" This is my often neglected blog mostly about my travels since 9/11 as I engage in dialogue and actions. It is steaming with my opinions, insights, analyses toward that end of holding all life sacred, dismantling the empire and eliminating violence while creating the society we want ALL to thrive in

Sample alert for Occupation Project

Please join us this Wednesday morning 8:00a.m. in front of Congresswoman Ellen Tauscher's office at 2121 North California Blvd, Walnut Creek for a "Peace-In" in her office.

Ellen has NOT yet signed onto legislation to end the war in Iraq and bring our troops & contractors home within 6 months.

Ellen TALKS like she is against the war against Iraq, but then she continues to vote to fund the war.

CodePINK and many other peace groups have been holding "Peace-In"s in almost every state in the country. Our goal is to urge Congresspeople to sign on to HR508, a bill authored by our own California Congresswomen Barbara lee, Lynn Woolsey, and Maxine Waters.

And to get our representatives to publicly commit to voting no more money for war.

One office visit is worth 100 phone calls, 1000 letters, 10,000 emails - so try to make the time Wednesday morning to join us 8:00a.m. We will have a brief information session out front and then we will go into her office and speak with her staff if she is not available.

Please help spread the word, invite friends and neighbors to join us. If you cannot come, PLEASE call her Walnut Creek office, 925-932-8899 and/or her D.C. office, 202-225-2880 between 8-10a.m. and let her staff know that the CodePINK wimmin there are representing your voice, that you want her to sign on to HR508, and that you want her to defund war against Iraq.

Also at noon we will be holding this Peace-In at Pelosi's office, 450 Golden Gate Ave (SF Federal Building) San Francisco and need your hot body for that as well. Gather at 11:30a.m. in the 2nd floor cafeteria.

For more information and the latest update, check out the calendar at bayareacodepink.org or call 510-524-2776.

Together we WILL end war.
