An older white man today at the YMCA reacted to my "DISARM: Military, Police, ALL MEN" t-shirt by shaking his head and mumbling "oh people will never live with that".

REALLY fuckin REALLY?

What are people thinking when they say such things? How messages get twisted around in their minds and out comes something so inane, so counter to the truth.

I told him what I tell everyone who goes there: "You're so wrong. People cannot live without this."

And of course, I tell him the stats: the number of people and which people the police are murdering, men are murdering, the military is murdering - the people who are NOT living BECAUSE we have fuckin guns and the men who are willing to use them.
