Work 4 Peace,Hold All Life Sacred,Eliminate Violence! I am on my mobile version of the door-to-door, going town-to-town holding readings/gatherings/discussions of my book "But What Can I Do?" This is my often neglected blog mostly about my travels since 9/11 as I engage in dialogue and actions. It is steaming with my opinions, insights, analyses toward that end of holding all life sacred, dismantling the empire and eliminating violence while creating the society we want ALL to thrive in

Open letter: Grannies Respond caravan has ended but ICE has NOT...

The Grannies Respond caravan has ended but ICE, the incarceration of refugees, the separation of children from their families has NOT ended!

Grandmothers, dearest Grandmothers: I've an idea for a followup action to the awesome caravan! There is sooooo much publicity, good will, admiration, support following Grannies Respond. Not to mention the knowledge and experience we've gained working together and making this happen!

Let's capitalize on it! Let's go to D.C. (we don't have to caravan), surround the white house, demand to speak with tRump to let him know we will NOT give up until every child is united with their family, every family released from prison, and ICE is disbanded. We womyn of this nation, we grandmothers, must NOT allow this horrific, cruel harm to continue to be injustly inflicted on womyn of other nations, grandmothers of other nations, children of other nations.

There is a great National Park right on the D.C. metro line - greenbelt national park - where campsites are $10/night for seniors and the train is 4 miles away, the white house a 20 minute or so ride. Easy access, not so expensive.

Let us continue to act with the urgency as if it is our daughter imprisoned, our granddaughter taken from her and disappeared or imprisoned or handed over to strangers.
