Work 4 Peace,Hold All Life Sacred,Eliminate Violence! I am on my mobile version of the door-to-door, going town-to-town holding readings/gatherings/discussions of my book "But What Can I Do?" This is my often neglected blog mostly about my travels since 9/11 as I engage in dialogue and actions. It is steaming with my opinions, insights, analyses toward that end of holding all life sacred, dismantling the empire and eliminating violence while creating the society we want ALL to thrive in

We the people SHUT DOWN war!

I have repainted the back of my truck:

"Arise Women Arise"

We the people MUST shut down war!

'07 Summer of Protest: July 4th - Labor Day

SHUT DOWN: ports, docks, trains, bases, airports - wherever they are sending supplies to war

Bush, Congress, Blackwater,
Dems, Repubs, Exxon, Shell: they are making too much $$$ to end war

It is up to us: Rise Women Rise

I spent the whole day today preparing to get on the road – and half the nite. I have 2 small jobs that will pay for my fuel so I loaded them both up on the truck. Then I had to stock up on food from the Co-op; books from Charis, and books on tape from the library.

I went to the neighborhood hardware store to purchase paint and paint brushes, and the local copy place to get paper for flyers.

I had to stand on my daughter’s garbage can to paint the back of the truck! Her can is now splattered with pink, white & black splotches, not to mention a few dents! Hopefully, she won’t mind!

I have made flyers about the #59 campaign, the Summer of Protest, the oil benchmark, and the cost of the Iraq war.

I intend to join a protest in front on Ft. Campbell tomorrow in Tennessee, then go to Louisville for Memorial Day actions. Then I’ll head up to Chicago to make a delivery & connect with CodePINKers there.

Then it’s off to Wisconsin, Minnesota, North & South Dakota, thru Wyoming and Montana, then dropping down to Salt Lake City – and then home! I should probably be back to the Bay Area by the 6th or so of June.
