Work 4 Peace,Hold All Life Sacred,Eliminate Violence! I am on my mobile version of the door-to-door, going town-to-town holding readings/gatherings/discussions of my book "But What Can I Do?" This is my often neglected blog mostly about my travels since 9/11 as I engage in dialogue and actions. It is steaming with my opinions, insights, analyses toward that end of holding all life sacred, dismantling the empire and eliminating violence while creating the society we want ALL to thrive in

Daughters of War Speak Out

We had another awesome, moving action today at the MRS!

B and Diana arrived early with Ann Marie and set up the memorial alter, hung banners, and put out the ironing board with all our info. Brenda arrived with several visiting poets from Vermont and Seattle! Several other CodePINKers came and we filled the sidewalk in front of the MRS.

We laid out photos of the 31 USA women who have been murdered in Iraq, leaving 50 children without their mothers. We read her name, her age, how she died, and who her children are, of each mother.

We held the children and their murdered mothers in our hearts We sang and then we all told our personal stories, the daughters of war continuing to speak out. We chanted and sang some more.

We also spoke about Pelosi and the dems $178 billion more dollars for funding war that will probably be put out to the floor of congress tomorrow, Thursday - and what we want to do about it.

We talked our action tomorrow, Sisters Don't Allow Sisters in War Zones, beginning at 10:00am until 5:00pm. We talked about taking the huge 50' banner that says "Don't Buy Pelosi's War" and marching through the streets of Berkeley with our cell phones & asking people to call Pelosi right then & there.

So please come by tomorrow, bring a story about an Iraq woman, and join us for the march around Berkeley.
