Work 4 Peace,Hold All Life Sacred,Eliminate Violence! I am on my mobile version of the door-to-door, going town-to-town holding readings/gatherings/discussions of my book "But What Can I Do?" This is my often neglected blog mostly about my travels since 9/11 as I engage in dialogue and actions. It is steaming with my opinions, insights, analyses toward that end of holding all life sacred, dismantling the empire and eliminating violence while creating the society we want ALL to thrive in

On the road again!!!

I’m sooo happy to be back on the road. Spent the day working with my veg oil guy in Asheville NC flushing out my entire veggie oil system. And putting it back together.

The fuckin diesel mechanics in Pennsylvania actually intentionally tried to sabotage my system – cutting hoses they didn’t need to cut, dismantling pieces and destroying other parts to ensure I didn’t run veggie oil.

We had to figure out how everything went back together again as well as flush each part of the complex system, once we had it put back into working order. I’m still nervous about how successful we were. I’ll have to wait until I fill up with veggie oil and start running on it to see.

My veg oil guy’s shop is right on a main street corner, so my truck was very visible to passers-bye. One truck went spinning in the gravel, slamming on breaks, then turning around and hovering at the back of my truck. I smiled my most welcoming smile, waved, and invited the grumpy old white man staring daggers at me, to come talk.

About an hour later, another old white man who apparently was the ‘neighborhood watch’ patrol, came down the hill and parked across from my truck. My veg oil guy went to talk with him for several minutes, reassuring him that I was not a terrorist nor threatening to make his town my permanent residence. Apparently the patrol man had received several calls and complaints, so many so, he decided he needed to investigate.

I had to make a run to the store so by the time I was back, he was gone & my veg oil guy expressed his support for me & my truck, even thought he doesn’t agree with the ‘disarm’ statement, but he’s very content in the joys of owning his own building.
