Work 4 Peace,Hold All Life Sacred,Eliminate Violence! I am on my mobile version of the door-to-door, going town-to-town holding readings/gatherings/discussions of my book "But What Can I Do?" This is my often neglected blog mostly about my travels since 9/11 as I engage in dialogue and actions. It is steaming with my opinions, insights, analyses toward that end of holding all life sacred, dismantling the empire and eliminating violence while creating the society we want ALL to thrive in

White people...

I'm driving out of the comfort zone of Atlanta proper into the northern suburbs. The farther away from Atlanta one travels, the whiter the freeways and suburbs get.

I'm actually a little lost, so I pull off the freeway to use my trusty gps on my cell to redirect me. As I slow down, a white womon passes me with the ugliest expression on her face and gives me the finger.

Another truck - a little smaller than mine - with three white guys sitting across the front seat, passes me as the driver's hand seems stuck to the horn as it blasts for a good loud 45 seconds at least.

When I turn around to head back south on the freeway, another old white man this time sitting in the left hand turn lane, throws both of his hands up into the air to bewilderingly ask me "whaaaattt?" - it's clear he doesn't get it. I'm sorry I don't have the time to stop and explain or to engage with any of these folks responding so emphatically to my messages.
