Work 4 Peace,Hold All Life Sacred,Eliminate Violence! I am on my mobile version of the door-to-door, going town-to-town holding readings/gatherings/discussions of my book "But What Can I Do?" This is my often neglected blog mostly about my travels since 9/11 as I engage in dialogue and actions. It is steaming with my opinions, insights, analyses toward that end of holding all life sacred, dismantling the empire and eliminating violence while creating the society we want ALL to thrive in

paradigm and more

I think we need 2 simple paradigm changes: 1) we have to, as a people, agree we are NEVER going to take human life for ANY reason; and 2) we have to agree it is WRONG to have more than anyone else on the planet.

Those of us working for change keep searching for the proper word, banner, slogan, sentence, that will move everyone. Most think that the tea baggers are clever, i think they're the same old racist/bigoted assholes that have the power of the whole establishment behind them, only with different names (tea bagger) this time.

Those in power have gotten more clever, more violent, more insidious - they don't have to do the same things they did in the past to oppress people like concentration camps or overt drafts.

The result of their eons of oppression has acted on the people like pesticides on bugs - countless humans w/spirit have been eliminated and the few that remain have been mutated.

I see change as a river rushing from the mountains - and oppressors willing to use any means necessary to block that river - often they are successful, dynamiting valleys, building damns, etc. AND they keep developing better and better tactics, given their abundant resources and their willingness to kill.

But the river also changes and refuses to die: maybe she merely finds another route, carves out another canyon, turns another direction - until stymied again.

The important thing is that we act, and act, and act again. It might not be the exact right action, it might not be the exact best action, but we act.

And, as we know from experience, the more we do something, the better we get at it!
