Work 4 Peace,Hold All Life Sacred,Eliminate Violence! I am on my mobile version of the door-to-door, going town-to-town holding readings/gatherings/discussions of my book "But What Can I Do?" This is my often neglected blog mostly about my travels since 9/11 as I engage in dialogue and actions. It is steaming with my opinions, insights, analyses toward that end of holding all life sacred, dismantling the empire and eliminating violence while creating the society we want ALL to thrive in

I just can't take it anymore - lawn bowling?

A 40ish white woman rushing up to me at the BART station today and excitedly asks me if I'm one of the CodePINK ladies? Of course I say I'm a CodePINK womon so she proceeds to gush forth with praise and gratitude for our work and fortitude.

I ask her if she's a CodePINK womon. She smiles and says she'd like to be. I welcome her as she tells me how awful she feels about our continued attack on Afghanistan, how horrific drones are, how much the people of Iraq are still suffering from our military presence.

I tell her we need her and ask her to join us Wednesdays at noon in front of the MRS.

She looks at me askance and claims she couldn't possibly do anything because has to learn lawn bowling.
