Work 4 Peace,Hold All Life Sacred,Eliminate Violence! I am on my mobile version of the door-to-door, going town-to-town holding readings/gatherings/discussions of my book "But What Can I Do?" This is my often neglected blog mostly about my travels since 9/11 as I engage in dialogue and actions. It is steaming with my opinions, insights, analyses toward that end of holding all life sacred, dismantling the empire and eliminating violence while creating the society we want ALL to thrive in

repainting my truck - gift from tessie!

tessie calls to give me the words for the back of my truck - words from her teacher: Our Liberty: amBUSHed and CHENEYed!!! i cannot repaint the whole back, altho i will when i get to a ladder. now i stop at the first rest stop in utah, overlooking the great salt flats, back the truck up to the curb, & cover the 'bush admin', moved 'kill, etc.' to the Geneva Convention line with white paint; then bright pink; then i'm ready to repaint.

i'm getting few responses to my truck - even here as i paint, most folks smile & wave or just ignore me. i'm wondering if there's too many words to read - you know how u.s. americans are - or everyone is mostly agreeing? i've only gotten 2 fuck you's, one in nevada and one just a minute ago as i crossed into utah. ufb!!! most folks are just smiling & waving, a few peace signs.

i did travel thru california mostly at nite - which makes me sad because the mountains are SOOOO beautiful; all of california is beautiful really - but i'm not on the road 4 hours when i see a shooting star!!! i make my usual wish, and it's not for world peace, as i move under the gorgeous black filled with brilliant stars, usually hidden where i live. Mostly truckers respond, honking & waving, flashing their lights at me in support.

nevada is beautiful too, stark vegetation but beautiful reds & browns and blacks - the mountains dusted with white snow, the clouds imitating the mountains, dark on the bottoms, white & fluffy on the tops.

good to be on the road again! i'll stop at that scary gas station & check things out in utah! & i'll hit the libary in cheyenne. peace, sam
