Last couple minutes of sun on the western slope of the Santa Rita Mountain range

As we allow and force human beings to die of thirst - who are we???

I left Yuma April 5th and headed to the incredible Organ Pipe Cactus National Park whose visions of immense beauty and unique vegetation and geology has recently been 'marred' by our fuckin border 'wall', that is in fact, a destroyer of land, humans, animals, even birds and insects have to learn how to navigate this horrendous violence.

But I'm here for respid, to point out to tourists where & what our wall is doing, and to recover from the dust storm that has stolen my voice and kept my nose running and me coughing for dayz now. I just can't seem to drink enough water to keep my hydrated - but I'm working on it.

There was no internet in the campground and here at the visitor's center, it is feeble at best but I want to get up these photos to share some of the beauty of this land.

Tomorrow I go with the Green Valley Samartians to look for stranded refugees. What can I say but I live in a nation that is not just willing to allow but overtly forcing human beings to die of thirst in 2023

Immense beauty and unfathomable hate

Since I first started traveling around the country about 50 years ago, I have never been able to understand how a people surrounded by such immense beauty can be capable of such unfathomable hate.
